A few kinds words make a big difference!

This is my first year teaching. If I were asked to define how I feel about my job I would say that I absolutely love what I do but there are many days I feel frustrated, discouraged, stressed, unsure, confused. I wonder if I am truly making a difference in the kids' lives. I wonder if I am getting through to any of them. I wonder if I am good at what I do. And every so often I will get a message that will remind me why I chose this career and makes everything I go through worth it 100%. I was told this week by a parent that I inspire her child. Those few kind words brought a smile to my face and made my whole week. If I know that I have touched even one person's life, then I know I have done something right.

Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you!

Let go and let God.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens: but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us

Risk more than others think is safe.
Care more than others think is wise.
Dream more than others think is practical.
Expect more than others think is possible.

This is my wish for you:
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
comfort on difficult days,
rainbows to follow the clounds,
sunsets to warm your heart,
laughter to kiss your lips,
hugs when spirits sag,
friendship to brighten your being,
beauty for your eyes to see,
faith so that you can believe,
confidence for when you doubt,
courage to know yourself,
patience to accept the truth,
love to complete your life

When you get to the end of the rope, tie a note and hang on.

Life Is: trusting and taking chances, losing and finding happiness, appreciating the memories and learning from the past.

10 reasons I love to read

1. It lets me escape the stresses of each day by entering a new world from the comfort of my chair.
2. I get to meet new people who (if I am lucky and it’s a good book) I feel are my friends by the time I am finished the book.
3. It allows me to paint the pictures of the scenery and people, which I think is much better than watching a movie.
4. I always learn something new.
5. I can live vicariously through the lives of different characters.
6. It opens my mind to new possibilities.
7. It’s a nice treat at the end of a long day. I like to think of it as a reward at the end of each day.
8. Procrastination.
9. It makes me a better writer.
10. I have always loved reading rich sentences that allow me to use all my senses.
